Oops! I forgot to schedule my dental appointment

Tips for getting in to see your dentist on short notice

Forgot to schedule your dental appointment? It has happened to us all. We forget to schedule our dental checkup or are suddenly worried about a cavity, but when we call the dentist, there are no immediate openings. Sound familiar?

What do you do if you can’t get an appointment to see Dr. Frahm as quickly as you’d like? Not to worry. We’ll let you in on some secrets on how to land an appointment as soon as you can.

Four tips to scoring a last-minute dentist visit

  1. Call us. As soon as you realize you need to see Dr. Frahm, let us know! If you have a lost crown, a cracked tooth or a minor toothache, call our office asap. Melissa and Stacy, our patient care coordinators, can work wonders to find available openings to get you scheduled for a dental visit.
  2. The magic word: waitlist. If there aren’t appointments immediately available, ask to be on our waitlist. Every dentist and dentist’s office has one and you need to know about it. If you want to be on the wait list, we’ll ask for your name, why you want to see Dr. Frahm, and the best way to reach you.
    a. Offer up the following information to our care coordinators: Is it better to reach you in the morning or afternoon? Would you prefer we call, text or email? Our office wants to reach you as much as you want to be reached, so let us know what works best for you.
    b. Tip: Answer your phone, text or email quickly. Put our phone number in your contacts so you recognize our number when we call or text. Don’t let an unknown number go to voicemail or you risk missing out on an availability.
  3. Flexibility is your friend. We will always do whatever we can to accommodate you to see Dr. Frahm. Your chances of getting an appointment rise if you can be flexible with appointment times and dates.
  4. Let us know if you are having a dental emergency. If you have severe dental pain and bleeding, an infection or have a newly broken, chipped or loose teeth, we’ll get you in quickly. We always make time to accommodate patients who require immediate assistance.
